Frequently asked questions
1. What image resolution should I upload? Bigger the better! We print canvas at about 150dpi. If you want a canvas that's 24” x 30”, then you should upload an image that is 3,600px x 4,500px at 150ppi (pixels per inch). If you have a lo-res image, upscaling it in a photo editor is NOT advised. For more information on resolution: Image Resolution Wiki
2. What is a Floating Frame? A Floating frame is a frame that mounts to the back of the canvas stretcher, leaving a gap between the sides and the frame. Show off your canvas' depth with this modern look. Your canvas will be Gallery Wrapped if you choose a Floating Frame, essentially cropping your image by 1.5” on each side.
3. What is a Classic Frame? A Classic
Frame is the normal kind of moulding you see on pictures and paintings. Most will overlap your image by about 1/4”.
4. What is Gallery Wrap? Gallery Wrap is when the print of your canvas continues to cover the sides. This is the preferred look for canvases that are not being framed. Your image will effectively be cropped 1.5” on each side as it wraps around.
5. How long will it take to get my print? It should take approximately 14 buisnes days. We can't guarantee turn times, so be sure to order early if this is going to be a gift!
6. Can I order over the phone? Sorry, couldn't hear you over these framing saws... Best use the website :)
